In my case, it's a 65 plate Octavia SEL, but it should be the same on any of the years with the same Amundsen or Bolero unit with navigation.
CCC system with nav (roughly 2004 through 2010) Press and hold the eject button for the DVD and CD drives, then press the audio system power button for about a second. CIC (2010-2015)
2. Amundsen MY17 unit 5Q0035864B (without DAB) or 5Q0035874B (with DAB) 3. Amundsen MY18 unit 5Q0035864C (without DAB) or 5Q0035874C (with DAB) 4. Columbus MIB2 unit 3V0035020x (with DAB, with regular Bluetooth, without LTE Modem) 5. Columbus MIB2 unit 3V0035021x (with DAB, with premium Bluetooth, with LTE Modem) 6.
Now a third option, the Amundsen (RNS315). I really should have thought of this as the wife got a new Yeti SE Plus on Monday and it has Sat Nav & Bluetooth (not sure about DAB). I'm assuming this will support rear parking sensors, climate control etc (with VCDS). The OEM BT is going to be about £299 (car communications) or £288.45 (from poland).
Now to install the maps; Insert the maps DVD into the Columbus (The map disks are copyrighted so you will need to visit a dealer or buy an official map DVD disk). Nothing will happen on the screen when you insert the disk other than some noises where the disk will sound like it is being read.
